Grant Copeland | Vice President - Design

Grant Copeland is the Creative Director of The Worx Group. He oversees the design team, heading creative initiatives in print, web and multimedia for many of the agency's business-to-business and business-to-consumer clients.

Grant has directed and designed programs for a wide variety of regional, national and international clients, including FedEx, IBM, ConAgra Foods and Cingular Wireless. His work has been featured in publications such as Sports Illustrated, Gray's Sporting Journal, Graphic Design USA and Design News, at events including the Super Bowl, NCAA Final Four, NFL Pro Bowl, NBA All-Star Game, US Open and The Masters, and has won numerous regional and national design awards in print, web and multimedia.

In 2005, Grant's work won ten national American Graphic Design Awards in the juried competition sponsored by Graphic Design USA magazine. The ten national awards were the most of any design firm in the country.

Prior to The Worx Group, Copeland was a managing member and founder of i2i Creative, a marketing communications firm where he served as Vice President of Creative for six years. Prior to i2i Creative, Copeland was Creative Director for Kazlon Communications, a Connecticut-based advertising and marketing agency. While at Kazlon, Grant worked on accounts including the Knights of Columbus, Black & Decker, Wood Group and Pratt & Whitney.

Copeland holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Fine Art from Skidmore College (Saratoga Springs, NY), where he captained the baseball team and was an Academic All-American his senior year. At Skidmore, Grant illustrated Heads-Up Baseball, the critically-acclaimed book that is required reading for the United States Olympic baseball team.

"I don't consider myself an artist."

And I charge all of our designers to see themselves from the same perspective. After all, no client wants to hear that you made a design decision for "artistic" reasons.

Everything we do here as a creative team is born out of a client's unique business objectives. Art and copy, form and function, logos, brochures, websites... they're simply the vehicles by which we deliver those objectives.
